What is the Global Entrepreneurship Week?
Global Entrepreneurship Week, occurring in Q4 each year, comprises a series of
tech entrepreneurship events organized by local IEEE Entrepreneurship ambassadors.
This global initiative spans thousands of events, activities, and competitions, motivating
millions to explore their entrepreneurial potential while fostering connections and collaboration
within their local ecosystems. With participation from an estimated 10 million people,
across 170+ countries, it features 35,000 events. Each event includes a local pitching
competition for start-ups, with local winners advancing to the regional IEEE Pitch Competition.
The finalists from this competition have the opportunity to pitch live at prestigious
Entrepreneurship Summits such as Web Summit, Techne, and Slush.
